The Head of State Kassym-Jomart expressed his gratitude to the Russian President for the invitation to visit Kazan and emphasized the unique character of the first international tournament “Games of the Future”.
Indeed, “Games of the Future” – is unique format. It is a symbiosis of IT-intelligence combined with sport. We have brought a solid team here and hope for certain positive results. In general, the IT sector in Kazakhstan is developing, we have our own games. We hold international competition. I would like to suggest the next “Games of the Future” be held in Kazakhstan in order to continue the timely initiative started by the Russian Federation, – noted the Kazakh leader.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.
This is our first meeting in the new year, Vladimir Vladimirovich. The Russian economy, despite very difficult conditions, has achieved great success. This has a positive impact on the course of our cooperation and on the implementation of the agreements we reached during your state visit to Kazakhstan last November, – the President said.
In turn, Vladimir Putin thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his participation in the opening ceremony of the “Games of the Future” and confirmed the commitment of the Russian side to further strengthen the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan.
I have emphasised many times, and I want to say it again, that sport should be beyond politics, on the contrary, it should bring people together. We have many participants from more than a hundred countries – 104 countries from different continents. Young people who enjoy both digital and traditional sports. As for bilateral relations, they are developing very successfully in virtually all vital areas. I remember the visit of our delegation last year to Kazakhstan. Everything went well then. We outlined areas for further development. Colleagues report to me how the work is going now in the energy sector, investments, regions. Everything is of considerable interest here. For countries as a whole, for individual regions and for entire industries,– said the President of Russia.
The leaders also exchanged views on the regional and global agenda.
